When I was diagnosed with lumbar facet joint arthritis, I feared that my days of working out were over. But my trainer at We-Fit developed a rehabilitative program for me, including exercises to stabilize my core and strengthen my spinal region, which complemented my prescribed physical therapy. As a result, I was able to overcome the pain I was experiencing and recover full functionality in far less time than my physician had expected. I have been training here for over 3 years. When I arrived, due to a series of major life changes, I had not done anything that could be called exercise for a few years. Prior to that I had always been very active, enjoying a number of sports and running in 10ks. That had taken its toll on my body so in addition to being out of shape, I arrived with numerous old injuries and health issues. I was also at the highest weight I had ever been at in my life. I was a mess both physically and mentally. And I knew I wouldn't do anything about it myself. I needed a coach but I sure didn't want to take my aging, lumpy self to one of those big gyms. Finding a place where I felt I fit in was what I needed if it was going to work.

Ediz has worked with me at my pace, pushing me when necessary, and backing off when my old injuries flared up. I would have stopped as soon as that happened if I had been trying to do it on my own. Steadily we have transformed me back into a person who is much healthier, doesn't hurt all the time, and along the way dropped all that extra weight. Although no one would have said. "Boy you're a mess." I have heard a lot of compliments about how different I look now and how I have kept the weight off. My favorite was from a neighbor who told me I looked taller and more confident, and I do.

For me, working out on my own just doesn't work. I have tried it and I find a million excuses to do it later tomorrow or whenever. And, I don't have the knowledge of what to do when one part of my body needs a rest. I would either make it worse or quit altogether. Ediz has come up with a variety of ways I can continue to work out and not further injure myself. This is one so-called luxury I haven't stopped due to the economy. This is not a luxury, it's an investment in me.

The best thing that I can say about my trainer, Ediz Salazar, the owner of WE-FIT, is that after 4 years of training with him everything about me is better! I am 10 pounds lighter, 2 dress sizes smaller, enjoy better health and stamina, as well as great balance and strength which has improved my ability to ride my horse and progress in my chosen sport, dressage. I am still motivated and eager to work out with Ediz, which is incredible since I have joined and quit many gyms and exercises groups in the past!
I feel much younger than my age, and am told that I look at least 5-8 years younger than my actual age of 59. My general health (no medication) and well-being (no aches and pains) I attribute to the work-outs that Ediz has designed especially for me. They say that you cannot buy good health, but I think that you can make a pretty good down payment on it at WE-FIT!

My name is Jean Sanford and I am 67 years old. Fifteen months ago, I had one of my knees replaced and then three months later I has the other replaced. After completing the in-home and out-patient physical therapy prescribed by my surgeon, I started working with Ediz at WE-FIT twice a week for
30-minute periods of time. I plan to continue my bi-weekly workouts with Ediz as they have proven to be very beneficial to my renewed lifestyle.

I am thrilled to be getting excellent one-on-one guidance in obtaining my personal fitness goals at
WE-FIT. I've had Rheumatoid Arthritis for over 50 years and as a result have had my hips and knees replaced, my ankles fused, and several foot surgeries. Ever since I can remember, I've walked with a limp, but for the last 12 years I've needed crutches as well. Although exercising to maintain my range of motion has always been a big part of my life, it's not enough. I need to gain strength without further damaging my joints. Over the past five months, Ediz has devised numerous safe and challenging ways for me to do this. I am always amazed at how creative and perceptive he is. He not only listens to my concerns, but can usually tell if I'm having a bad day and will adjust accordingly. His encouragement and supervision allows me to try things I never thought I could do. At the end of our half-hour morning sessions I am usually sweating and panting, but I leave energized to face the day ahead.

My progress has been slow and steady. It's really nice to receive compliments from my husband about my skinny arms filling out a bit. I still need my crutches, but it is so exciting to be able to get up out of most chairs and sofas without assistance for the first time in ages! I highly recommend the trainers at WE-FIT for anyone who wants to improve their physical fitness, especially to those with any sort of joint problems.
